dan's corolla passed the 100,000 mile mark last week... regretfully, i missed my chance at taking a picture of the odometer because i wasn't watching it carefully. oh wellz. it wasn't giving me the smoothest ride lately, so we brought it into firestone to get a tune up. good thing, because it turns out there were a LOT of things wrong with it. specifically, the radiator hose was ballooning up because it was so old, so potentially, i could've gotten stranded on the side of the road in the near future, had we not changed those out. anyways, the wallet is now $811 lighter. *sigh*
bella finally figured out how to sit up on her own - in the crib, on the floor, everywhere. it's really fun to watch, because she is usually on her tummy with a determined look on her face... and in very very slow motion, she rolls to her side, then splays her legs, then pushes up with one arm (very yoga-esque, i might add), and somehow evolves to sitting. i don't think she really even knows how she gets to her final pose, but when she does, she kind of has this stunned look, like "i did it?!! yes, i did it!!"
miracle of miracles, but she actually lost weight from last week - her appointment this morning showed a 0.5lb loss. must be all her forced exercising that dan and i are having her do. she practically has rug burns on her knees from all the crawling around the apartment.
and, randomly... dan and i are feuding over who is the best PBS "happy" painter:
